This guest house is in York's city centre, close to the shops, museums, the city walls, and the racecourse. It offers attractive rooms, a lounge bar and free Wi-Fi in the public areas. Linden Lodge is a modern guest house in a quiet location, less than a mile (1.2 km) from York Rail Station. The original Victorian building has been carefully updated and mixes original features with modern comforts. All of the rooms have TVs, hairdryers and tea/coffee. Breakfast is available each morning and includes cereals, fruit, yoghurts and full cooked English breakfasts. The lounge bar has an outdoor patio area, where smoking is allowed.
We accommodate most special dietary requirements on our breakfast menus, but please be sure to notify the hotel in advance where possible of any special needs. We have 2 ground floor rooms, one twin en suite and one double en suite room, which can accommodate those not wishing or able to climb many stairs. Please be sure to notify the hotel of your requirements in advance and we will try to accommodate them as best we can. It is now illegal to smoke in the hotel and offenders will face stiff penalties. The hotel has always been a non-smoking establishment with strictly no smoking allowed in any of the rooms or common areas of the hotel. We can accommodate smoking in our private, rear outdoor garden/patio area but please ask staff on arrival to access this facility.
